Koln is occasionally referred to as the Germany’s gay capital as well, and that alternate vibe spreads over the city, giving its culture and nightlife a vibrant feel.

For the classical buff, head out the Opera house or the Koln Philharmonic, the best concert house in town, for a selection of quality German theatre; check out the various shows running at the Volksthater and the Schauspielhaus.

If its an all night party your looking for, its difficult to choose a place to start, Koln University is the largest in Germany and where you have students you can never be far from entertainment.
